Ask Congress to Join the Fight Against Climate Change April 21 to April 25

Climate Action Across America is a national coordinated grassroots effort during Earth Week (April 21 to April 25) to urge Congress to take action to fight climate change this year and for years to come. Together, we can move this country to the climate action we so urgently need for a safe, healthy, prosperous, and sustainable future.

A list of US Representatives and US Senators state by state with a local in-district phone number at our web site,

Here are nine specific actions Americans can take to participate in “Climate Action Across America”:

1. Ask for a meeting with your US Congressional representative and US Senators or their local staff.

2. Write a letter to the editor or guest column urging Congress to take climate action.

3. Organize letters and petitions to your Congressional representative and Senators asking for their support for climate action.

4. Invite your Congressional representative or Senators to speak to your local school, college, or climate action group about climate, energy, and sustainability.

5. Hold a public event for climate action – roundtable, workshop, speaker, rally, read-a-thon, community service project – during the week of April 21 to April 25.

6. Invite the news media to cover your public event supporting climate action.

7. Like “Climate Action Across America” on Facebook and share it with your friends, family, and colleagues across the country. Here is the Facebook address:

8. Tweet #JoinTheClimateFight or #ClimateActionAcrossAmerica
