How can this Climate Portal help?

The Climate Change Portal of the Unitarian Universalist United Nations Office  or UU-UNO features topical articles, news, and resources for climate change / global warming education from authoritative sources, on science, impacts and mitigation / adaptation strategies - emphasizing what you can do to help.

Think of this site as a LIBRARY with newsfeeds. 

Become a Portal member (no fee), which allows you to make comments on blogs.

4. The UU-UNO acts on climate change:

The UU-UNO Climate Initiative produced the one-line responses to contrarian arguments that were put on the popular website skepticalscience.com and other sites.

UN Sunday had the theme "Ethical Aspects of Climate Change", especially "Ethical Aspects of a Climate Treaty".

5. Here is the 2006 UUA Statement of Conscience on Global Warming / Climate Change.

6. The UU-UNO Climate Portal has great information. HERE is an interactive map of the world with a 4°C temperature rise, a possibility by 2100 if little action is taken to mitigate global warming.


HERE is a great Climate Hot Map from the Union of Concerned Scientists.

Some graphics on this portal are from the 2007 IPCC reports, e.g. this graph showing the increases in greenhouse gases and their origins:
 

HERE is a Time History of CO2 video of how the main greenhouse gas carbon dioxide has risen over the earth. Isotopic analysis proves beyond any doubt that this increase is due to people. If this increase continues, huge negative impacts will occur by the year 2100, a short time span in the history of mankind.
