Here is some useful information for posting content. 

WEBSITE RULE: You must be approved as a "contributor" to this site before you can recommend a post. The post needs to be approved by a "publisher" before the post appears on the site.

POSTING INSTRUCTIONS:

 To post a link to a document or website, click on the “link” symbol in the editor (top row, 4th from right) and paste the URL in the "URL" box. Here is an EXAMPLE ("More Extreme Heat Waves: Global Warming’s Wake Up Call", NATIONAL WILDLIFE FEDERATION 2009)

 To post a picture, click on the “picture” symbol in the editor (2nd row, 5th from right) and paste the URL in the "URL" box. To format the picture, type in the number of horizontal pixels in "width" (e.g. less than 525) so that the whole picture appears, include a border (e.g. 3), etc. Here is an example (IPCC 2007 Science Report cover picture):

 To upload a document directly into a post (as opposed to just linking to it on some other site):

1. Go to scribd.com (you must register)
2. Upload the doc by hitting the "upload" button
   
3. Hit “share”
4. Go to “embed code” and copy the code
   
5. Get out of scribd and go back to the editor at the portal for your post
   
6. Go to the html “source” mode by clicking the “source” button in the editor menu (top row, 2nd from left)
   
7. Paste the code from scribd into the editor at the point where you want the doc to appear (CTRL-V)
   
8. Save right away, do NOT go back to visual mode, otherwise you lose everything (this is supposed to get fixed) 
9. You will have to REDO all this if you edit the post, e.g. replacing the image.
