When world leaders gather at a United Nations climate change summit next week, they must publicly commit to ‘sealing the deal’ on a new agreement on curbing harmful greenhouse gas emissions, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said today.Next week’s summit is intended to “build the bridge” to the conference in the Danish capital, he said.

“We want world leaders to show they understand the gravity of climate risks as well as the benefits of acting now,” the Secretary-General underscored.
