Youth Blog

 Hey guys -

This is your chance to post comments on this Youth Blog for action on climate change and global warming, under the Youth Column. To do so, you first have to become a member of this site, the UU-UNO Climate Portal.

What's the picture? It's the jet stream, a weather phenomenon whose consequences are often confused with climate. Learn the difference between weather and climate.

Hey - if you attended the UU-UNO Spring Seminar, how about a post to share what you learned or what you're doing now to counter global warming / climate change? Join this Climate Portal as a member, and then post away!

Hi Jan, my name is John, I am studying engineering at university, I think there are some fantastic opportunites for engineers to really make a difference, but I want to know what you advise to make a difference now at university?

Some friends and I have discussed a few ideas but we need some guidance on the mosteffective way to bring about real change today.

    Thanks!

    Hello John -
I would say that one important thing you can do is to speak to your engineering colleagues about the future opportunities in green technologies, and use your skills to innovate new solutions in the future.

What ideas were you and your friends considering?

    Regards,
    Jan

Here is something that other young people are engaged in at the moment:

Whether you believe that changing lightbulbs, teaching young people, or direct action are the most important, please support these climate activists...
